Pastoral Staff

Senior Pastor: Rob Norman

Rob is married to Debbie. They have three children and five grandchildren.

Rob became a Christian in November, 1983.  Having an un-churched background he come to Christ in a small Baptist Church in the Central Queensland mining town of Blackwater.  Soon after conversion it became evident that Rob was called to ministry. Rob and Debbie began leading a Bible study group in their home in the late 1980's whilst Rob studied at Bible College. During this time they practiced their faith in Jesus, helping people come to Christ from all walks of life.

Rob is an entrepreneur and visionary, his passion is to equip and train disciples in how to bring the kingdom of God to the marketplace.

Associate Pastor (Evangelism & Outreach): Debbie Norman

Debbie came to Christ along with Rob in November 1983.  She began an after school Kids Club in a local primary school in 1989.  The group soon grew to an average attendance of around 70 in a school of 350 children.  Over the 4 years of the Kids Club Debbie saw hundreds of children come to a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Debbie brings to Southland Vineyard Church a passion for the un-churched.  She is able to communicate with people at all levels and is a mentor and friend for women in both the local church and on a wider level.

Many of the ministries currently operating at SVC are successful because Debbie was instrumental in pioneering them.

Associate Pastor (Small Groups): Greg Scholefield

Greg became a Christian in 1975 at a Nicky Cruz Crusade at The Apollo Stadium. Shortly after this he joined a Methodist Church in Coromandel Valley, South Australia and became involved in the Youth Group which experienced a mini revival, with many young people being saved, healed and touched powerfully by the Holy Spirit. Having had no Church background Greg assumed this was the normal Christian life.  He later found out that it isn't "normal" but should be!

Greg is passionate about teaching and equipping people to help them grow in their love and desire for Jesus Christ. Greg and his wife Julie also have a passion to teach and train couples approaching marriage as well as those who are already married with skills for life and ministry. Greg and Julie were married in 1981 and have eight children and two grandchildren (but still counting ...)

Worship Pastor: Damian Larcombe

Damian is married to Elise. They have three children.

Damian became a Christian through a Catholic Youth Group called Antioch in Glenelg, South Australia. He quickly developed a passion for worship music being influenced by a Vineyard style of worship as well as Keith Green. Damian felt a call to missions and completed a Discipleship Training School with YWAM in 1996 and then completed a Teaching Degree at Flinders University in 2000. His first year of teaching was completed in South Africa teaching at Sparrow Schools in Johannesburg.

Damian has since been a Primary school teacher at Sunrise Christian School at Fullarton in South Australia and became full time worship Pastor at Southland Vineyard Church in 2009.

Damian desires to grow a team that is able to draw others into an encounter with the living God.

Children's Pastor: Leonie O'Connell

Leonie is married to Anthony and they have two teenage children. As a family they have been connected to this church since arriving from South Africa seven years ago.

Leonie grew up in the Methodist Church and became a Christian in 1981. Since then she has always led small groups in Children’s Church and Youth. She is a qualified primary school teacher and has worked in outdoor education running school camps for the past three and a half years.

Leonie believes children have tremendous potential to bring God’s Kingdom here and now in Adelaide.
